Milan - Palazzo Reale – October 10th > January 25th 2009

In Milan the first exhibition about Neo-impressionism in Italy, under the Patronage of Italian President of The Republic and promoted by Comune di Milano – Culture, Ministry for Culture and Heritage, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regione Lombardia, Provincia di Milano, French embassy in Italy and in cooperation with Musée d'Orsay, the exhibition is produced by Palazzo Reale and Arthemisia.

Edited by French expert Marina Ferretti Bocquillon, "Chargée de Mission" at Musée d'Orsay in Paris and important museums in France, the exhibition focuses on Georges Seurat and Paul Signac, showing their most impressive works from the most important museums around the world (such as Musée d'Orsay in Paris, Metropolitan and Guggenheim Museum in New York) in order to introduce the two artists who started and developed Neo-impressionism – that mostly spread in France and Belgium – to the public.
